People Helped
In the year 2023 alone, Southwest Somali Community has reached out and assisted
nearly 500 individuals in various capacities. From navigating job applications to providing basic
needs support, we are devoted to helping as many community members as possible.

Food Boxes Distributed
Recognizing the importance of a well-fed community, we have distributed a significant number
of food boxes to families, seniors, individuals with disabilities, and people of color. Making sure
that everyone has access to nutritious meals is key to our mission.

In alliance with our supporters, we have contributed to building hope by assisting families with
utility and rent bills. Providing a safety net for those facing financial challenges ensures that
individuals and families can focus on their well-being.

Our responsibility to supporting households remains fixed. In 2023, we will have provided essential services to approximately 200 households, covering families, seniors, and individuals with disabilities.
